How do I get a Library Card

Stop by the Library and fill out an application.  A photo ID is required for all adults.  A parent's signature is required for all juveniles under 18 years of age.  All new cards are restricted to 3 items checked out at a time for the 1st 30 days.  No videos/DVDs allowed the 1st 30 days.  After the initial period if you are in good standing, the restrictions will be lifted.  You may pick up your library card a few days after applying for it and my check out items the same day as you apply.

Where can I find out if you have the book I want?

On our homepage there is a link to our "card catalog" of items we own called Web Collection Plus.  By clicking on this link, you will enter our local holdings catalog.  You can also see what you have checked out, if you have any fines, or if you have anything on hold waiting to be picked up.  You will need your Patron Barcode from your library card and a password to enter your account.  Contact the library to get your password.

How can I renew my items?

You can bring your items into the library to be renewed, you can phone us for renewal (319-394-3895), or you may email us at Circulation for renewal.  We may not be able to renew an item if we have someone else waiting for it.  Otherwise, we are happy to extend your loan period.
